Kiwanians on a Mission!

The Kiwanis Club of Aurora is proudly living its mission to “Serve the Children of the World,” helping local kids stay warm this winter through its leadership of the citywide “Coats for Kids” initiative. Partnering with the City of Aurora, Communities In Schools and local businesses to deliver coats to children in need across Aurora and Oswego.

Our efforts benefit students from preschool through high school in school districts #129 (West Aurora), #131 (East Aurora) and #308 (Oswego).

In it's 15th year, the program has helped more than 10,000 youth keep warm during the often brutal Chicagoland winter. To help support our this initiative, use the DONATE button above to contribute $25, $50 or $100 to help a family in need.

The signature Coats for Kids project of the Kiwanis Club of Aurora in full swing!

The team gathered on October 17, 2024 - a cool, crisp fall day - to assemble, pack and prepare elementary, junior high and high school coats for kids in the communities we serve.  An excess of 1500 coats were delivered directly to schools in districts 129, 131 & 308 for distribution to youth who might not otherwise have warm winter gear.
