Fox River Cleanup
🌎 Let’s Clean Up the Fox River Trail – Together, Saturday, April 26th! 🌎
The Kiwanis Club of Aurora is proud to support the Fox Valley Park Park District Earth Day Community Clean-up Day, a collaborative event filled with purpose, teamwork, and local pride. This year, we’re teaming up with incredible volunteers from:
- Rush Copley Medical Center
- Lions Club International
- The Neighbor Project
The objective is to unite volunteers to participate in a hands-on service project to better our community. At the cleanup event in 2023, there were some 400 volunteers who helped remove trash from in and around the Fox River, as well as north and south of downtown Aurora. The goal for the Fox River and nearby Fox Valley Park District locations in 2024 was to have as many dedicated volunteers come together once again to impact our community. This Saturday, April 26th the tradition continues.
Together, we’ll roll up our sleeves to pick up debris and litter along the scenic Fox River Trail—from Ashland to Mill. This stretch of trail is a gem in our community, and your help will make it shine! We expect to find everything from small scraps to big surprises! In past years, we’ve even uncovered laptops and even tires!
Whether you come with your family, your coworkers, or just your own two hands, you’ll be part of something meaningful - and fun.
Meeting Location
Montgomery Dam
Parking available at:
101 Marsch Avenue, Montgomery, IL 60538
This clean-up is more than just a service project—it’s a celebration of our shared home, our shared trails, and the power of people coming together for good. Come ready to connect, make a difference, and leave the trail better than we found it.
See you there!
